11 things about myself (are you sure you want to know them?)
1) I've never lived in the United States, but I spent almost every summer of my life there. I've always thought of it as my adopted  homecountry.
2) When I was a little kid I believed that if you swallowed a watermelon seed, it would grow in your tummy and come out through your ears. I was a stupid little kid...
3) When I was three, I couldn't pronounce 'San Francisco', so when we were in the plane and I saw the Golden Gate Bridge, I started yelling: 'Look, Saxo Sixo!'
4) I wanted to become a professional high jumper, but then I stopped growing and I just wasn't tall enough...
5) Every time the song 'Some Nights' by fun. is on the radio, I turn off all the lights, close my eyes and daydream about Australia, because the song reminds me of last summer.
6) And I shouldn't daydream about Australia, because it makes me cry sometimes.
7) A few years ago I made one of the little kids in my street cry. She asked me to tell her a horror story, but it apparently was too scary.
8) I have trouble opening up to other people, so when it comes to that, I'm glad E. found my blog, it made it easier for me to open up to him.
9) I accidentally caught a fish with my hands while swimming at the Great Barrier Reef. Both the fish and I freaked out and fled.
10) I'm afraid of sharks because my cousin once told me that if I saw the 'big shark' in the zoo, it'd eat me. I saw the big shark and was scared to dead. Thank you very much, Eline, for traumatizing your three year old cousin way back in 1999.
11) Once, when training discus in the park, I almost hit a goose with the discus.

1. What is your favorite type of animal?

2. What is one piece of clothing you can't live without?
My Sesame Street T-shirt. No, just kidding. Do my long jump spikes count?

3. What is your dream vacation place?
Either Cairns, San Fransisco or some sunny place in the Caribbean. As long as it's far away from Europe, I'm so done with Europe.

4. What is one secret that you haven't told about yourself to anyone?
I was bullied all trough elementary school. I've never told anyone what people have said to me.
'You'll never make it through high school, everyone will hate you.'
'No one should be friends with Envy, she only destroys lives.'
'If your life is so miserably, you should just go and lie in your grave already.'
Okay, that wasn't a fun secret, but you didn't ask for something funny.

5. What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
Crazy? When I bought a Batman t-shirt in Rome, M. and I held a fotoshoot in the monastery where we slept. I had a huge black towel around my neck as a cape and was jumping up and down on the bed while M. took pictures and played songs from Holy Musical Batman. It was ridiculous, but so much fun.

6. How long can you hold your breath underwater?
Last time I counted was in 2010. I could swim the entire length of the pool and back under water in approximatly one minute. But that was before my lungs started refusing me.

7. What is your favorite vegetable?
If I was in America, I could say pizza. Sadly, I'm not in America, so I'll have to answer that vegetables and I broke up a long time ago and haven't seen eachother ever since.

8. Why did you start blogging?
To clear my mind, to feel like there was someone out there who actually listened to me.

9. What is your favorite music band?
Please don't laugh at me when I say that my favorite band is Train. I got laughed at at school for liking them, because, apparently, Train is stupid.

10. What is your favorite movie?
All my friends think it's The Hunger Games, but it isn't. It's Cool Runnings, a comedy based on the story of the first Jamaican bobsled team

11. What was the best day of your life?
There isn't one, there are many days that I'll never forget. Like the day I returned to California after four years. That day in 8th grade when I realized that I'd finally found friends who cared about me. The list can go on and on and I'm sure there will be much more days that I'll remember for the rest of my life, but there's no such thing as 'the best day of my life'.

Since Ridx broke the rules, I'm going to break them too. Five random facts and all those questions Ridx asked me? Here they come!

Five random facts
1) My favorite athlete is Adam Gemili.

The questions
Have you ever made a prank phone call?
Yup, three years ago I wanted to pull a prank on T., but I didn't have his number, so Maze, Roos, S. and I decided to call G., who would probably have his number. Instead we ended up prank calling G. until I made the mistake of picking up the phone without looking who was calling me. 'Hi, Envy speaking!' 'Oh hi Envy, why have you called me like 50 times?'
'Crap...'

Do you believe in karma?
Sometimes. At this moment I don't. A year ago I did.

What is your perfect pizza?
As long as there's a lot of meat on it. In the US I once ate a pizza with four different kinds of meat. They called the pizza 'Meat Me Again'. I loved it.

What is your first thought when waking up in the morning?
Most of the time it's something like 'I don't wanna go to school', but one time I woke up thinking: 'We are never ever ever getting back together'. From that moment on I have been avoiding T. and Taylor Swift songs.

I wouldn't. I'm not superhappy with the position I'm in now, but I've got my friends and hopes and dreams. I'm afraid I might lose them if I change one day in the past...

Do you remember your dreams?
Almost always. This summer I dreamt that the sun wanted to destroy the Earth. All of a sudden I was talking to and fighting with the sun. For some reason this freaked me out.

Are you a mornig person or a night person?
Neither.

Yes, I think you could call my fear for sharks a phobia. I even thought that there were sharks living in my bed, so I didn't want to sleep anymore.

If you could breed two animals together to defy the laws of nature, what new animal would you create?
A unicorn or a griffin.

Umm, that would be hard. I think you should go to some older posts on this blog. You'll notice that most of the conversations I'm in are 'unusual'.

If your parents hated your partner you currently loved would you ditch him or carry on despite the protests?
Carry on. It's what my dad did with my mom and if he hadn't, I wouldn't be here now.

No, and I probably never will be.

Yup. I bake a cake every vacation.

I can.

My ninth, which I spent on the banks of Lake Tahoe, California.

Everyone in my family can. So yes, I can curl my tongue.

If you could learn any language fluently, what would it be?
Spanish. I can't take classes at my high school and that frustrates me.

Julius Ceasar, so he could help me with my Latin homework (after I've taught him Dutch).

A bit of both. Half of my room is a mess, the other half is perfectly clean.

I'd say yes. E. would disagree. We played chess once and it was a humiliating experience for me.

I'd steal a car, so I have my own when I get my driver's licence.

On the high street. I like to feel and touch the things I want to buy, which you can't do if you buy them online.

Not unless I could grow wings.

Do you often read your horoscope?
Never. It's a load of BS.

What's your favorite brand of newspaper?
Do I sound stupid when I say I don't have one?

What's the cleverest word you know?
My English vocabulary isn't big enough to properly answer this question. Though in Dutch I tend to use a lot of big words (like 'to utilise') just for the fun of seeing the confusion on the faces of my friends when they don't udnerstand me.

Do you do your utmost for the environment?
Not always, but I try.

Do you ever make your own greeting cards?
Nope.

I suck at making up questions and there aren't many bloggers I know who haven't been nominated recently. If you'r following me and you want to be nominated, leave a comment and I'll come up with some questions for you.

You're talking about being broken up with vegetables a while ago? The dewde asked me out and I flat-out said no! I hate them... always have! I am my parent's nightmare on that front.
